How It All Began
Derek started Apex Pines as a student in 1992, back when there was the yellow pages instead of Google, and 3 years after that was supplying enterprising students looking for holiday income.
The main Apex Pines site on Lunn Ave in the PlaceMakers car park, Mt Wellington, has been up and going for more than 20 years! Back when there were barley any buildings on Lunn Ave and Stonefields was a quarry.

All our Christmas trees are locally grown on our Auckland farm. Each tree is freshly cut before delivery to ensure maximum freshness and fragrance.
Yes! We offer free delivery across most of Auckland. You’ll be able to select your suburb and delivery date when ordering.

Absolutely. Choose our Hire Stand & Setup option at checkout, and we’ll have your tree standing tall and ready to decorate.
You can add our Remove & Recycle service when ordering. We’ll collect your tree on your selected date and recycle it responsibly, then plant a seedling in its place.
We stand by our 24-hour satisfaction promise. If you’re not completely satisfied, we’ll replace your tree within 24 hours of delivery.
